Bhubaneswar: The Economic Offence Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch has served notice to one more director of the Odisha Infratech Private Ltd (OPIL) in connection with the alleged land grabbing case in Sarua village in Odisha’s Khurda district.
According to sources, the EOW has summoned Nihar Ranjan Bhuyan for further interrogation.
Prior to this, the EOW officials had a marathon interrogation of another OIPL director, Bibhu Rath, for two days.
The EOW on November 1 had arrested the OIPL director and chief finance officer (CFO) of Odisha Television Ltd (OTV) Manoranjan Sarangi and Siba Prasad Harichandan, an agent, the following day.
After a three-day remand of the duo, the EOW had produced them in the SDJM court which sent them to the Jharpada Jail.
While in jail, Sarangi in a letter to the OTV MD Jagi Mangat Panda had informed about his resignation from the post of CFO and OIPL director.
Following his resignation, Nihar Ranjan Bhuyan has been given the additional charge of the CFO.
