Dhenkanal: In a unique initiative to pay respect to corona warriors and encourage them, a retired army officer, Siddharth Shankar Dash, has run 100 km from Dhenkanal to Bhubaneswar.
Dash started his run by holding the Tricolour at 4 am on Sunday. He ran via Choudwar-Manguli square, Jagatpur and Cuttack to finally reach the Seventh Battalion headquarters in Bhubaneswar at 3 pm.
Police also helped Dash at several places on his way to Bhubaneswar.
Sports Officer Pradipta Kumar Mohanty and many sportspersons were also present on the way to encourage him.
Dhenkanal Collector also felicitated Dash for his noble initiative.
