Bhubaneswar: After three days of heatwave turned Odisha into a cauldron, the India Meteorological Department here has forecast a drop in the temperature by 2 to 4 degree Celsius for the next two days in several places.
The mercury also dropped at some places on Friday. Bhubaneswar, which had earned the hottest places in the country tag two days back, recorded 38.2 degree Celsius. However, 10 places in the state saw the temperature hovering between 40 and 43 degree Celsius. Boudh was the hottest at 43 degree Celsius followed by Balangir (42.2) and Sambalpur (41.6).
According to the Met office, coastal and interior Odisha will continue to experience light to moderate rain and thunderstorm activities during the next two days.
The prevailing trend will continue till April 12, said a weather expert.
