Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will provide transportation and accommodation to needy candidates appearing Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2020 and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
“There will no restrictions on the movement of JEE Main candidates, their parents and officials who will conduct the exams. They can avail government transport facilities for free to travel to the exam centres and back,” said Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy.
The district administration and police have been directed to facilitate their travel, he added.
“Free accommodation for needy examinees will be arranged at polytechnic institutes, engineering colleges and ITIs. The OSRTC buses will ply candidates to the exam centres,” Skill Development Secretary Sanjay Singh said.
Tripathy further informed that 37,000 students will appear the JEE exam across 26 centres in seven cities of the state.
He also urged JEE aspirants to share their details with nodal ITI principals. “If information is not received by August 31, it will be difficult for us to make the arrangements,” he added.
