Bhubaneswar: Another season of ISL will kick off in a week’s time.
Odisha FC, who qualified for the playoffs for the first time last season, will begin their campaign with two home matches at Kalinga Stadium — against Chennaiyin FC on September 23 and Mumbai City FC on September 28.
As they prepare for another fruitful season, the Odisha FC management decided to present a team jersey to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Head coach Sergio Lobera handed over the jersey to Naveen on Thursday. Captain and goalkeeper Amrinder Singh, and home-grown talent Tankadhar Bag were the others who were present.
“Glad to receive a team jersey from @OdishaFC head coach Sergio Lobera and players ahead of AFC Cup and Indian Super League. May the team put its best performance and bring glory for #Odisha. Wish the team all the very best for upcoming season. #OdishaForSports,” Naveen tweeted along with sharing pictures on X.
The coach and captain thanked the CM for his support to football and creating best facilities for the players.
