Odisha FC Extend Contract With Spanish Defender Carlos Delgado

Bhubaneswar: Carlos Delgado has extended his stay at Odisha FC for one more season.

A formidable centre-back, the Spaniard has played a stellar role for Odisha FC this season. The Juggernauts need a draw in their last league fixture – against Jamshedpur FC on February 22 — to seal a playoff berth in ISL-9.

The 32-year-old captain of Odisha FC rejoined the club in June last year to reunite with coach Josep Gombau after an earlier stint.

Delgado’s strong aerial ability and brilliant game reading have made him a valuable asset to the club.
