Cuttack: A separate fever clinic to treat patients of influenza-like illness will be set up at SCB Medical College and Hospital here as a precaution to curb contamination of COVID-19.
During a review meeting, Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) Anil Kumar Samal directed SCB Superintendent Dr Annada Prasad Patnaik to make the fever clinic functional within three days in line with the state government’s updated guidelines to check the spread of coronavirus.
Besides, Samal directed to isolate the COVID-19 testing laboratory at the hospital and imposed restrictions on entry of public into the building.
So far, the state government has declared 16 private hospitals in Bhubaneswar as fever clinics to treat patients suffering from fever or flu like symptoms.
Besides, such separate fever clinics have been set up at Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar, RGH in Rourkela and all district headquarters hospitals in the state.
