Jagatsinghpur: In line with the Odisha government’s guidelines on social distancing, the Jagtsinghpur district administration on Saturday decided to clamp Section 144 at two major shrines in the district.
The prohibitory order will come into effect from Sunday and remain in force till Pana Sankranti on Tuesday (April 14).
District Collector Sangram Keshari Mohapatra said as thousands of devotees throng Sarala temple at Jhankada and Bhagabati temple at Parahat during Pana Sankranti and Jhamu Yatra, the administration has enforced the prohibitory order to avoid large gatherings.
