Bhubaneswar: The Odisha police has registered 18 cases for violation of various lockdown guidelines, such as mandatory use of masks and maintaining social distance, in the last 24 hours.
According to a post on Odisha Police Twitter handle, 14 have been booked for lockdown violations. Two cases pertains to home quarantine violation, one to rumor-mongering, and one case for other related issues.
Meanwhile, police have urged people to walk down to local markets for buying essentials. There is no shortage of vegetables and groceries and people should not act on rumours, they added.
