Odisha Fights COVID-19: Ganjam Admin Seals Berhampur Border

Berhampur: To contain the spread of COVID-19, the Ganjam district administration on Tuesday sealed the border of Berhampur City. No person will be allowed to enter or exit the city.

Essential services, however, are exempted from restrictions. Vehicles engaged in the transportation of essential commodities will also be allowed.

The local administration will allow people in case of any emergency. Essential shops will remain open from 5 am to 4 pm. The administration warned violators of stern action under the Epidemic Diseases Act.

Police force has been deployed in Berhampur city to maintain law and order.
