Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday informed that the testing facility in the state is being ramped up to more than 1100 a day from Saturday.
I & PR Secretary Sanjay Singh informed that around 500 samples are currently being tested in three labs at RMRC, SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack and AIIMS-Bhubaneswar.
“With installation of new machines, the testing capability of RMRC has increased from 350 samples a day to 1000,” he said.
Singh further said that two new labs under the state government are being readied and the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur with testing capacity of 25 samples a day will be ready by April 13. The other lab at VIMSAR, Burla, will start functioning from April 15 with testing capacity of 25.
