Cuttack: The District Drugs Inspector has lodged an FIR against Siba Prasanna Jena, owner of the store from where fake medicines were seized.
The FIR was lodged before Special Task Force (STF) which has been constituted to probe the alleged seizure of spurious COVID drugs in different parts of Odisha.
The STF was formed after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik directed a Crime Branch probe into the case.
Last week, the Director of Drugs Inspector raided a medicine godown at Kanika Chhak and seized more than 17,000 spurious drugs being sold as COVID drugs. The firm was found to be selling more than 40,000 spurious drugs to other states as well.
