Puri: In view of the flood situation, all government and private schools in Odisha’s Puri district will continue to remain closed till August 23, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Dash informed on Sunday.
“Schools in the flood-affected areas in the district will remain shut for two more days,” he said.
It is pertinent to mention here that the schools in Puri were shut for two days till August 20.
Earlier, all schools in Jagatsinghpur were shut for two days after several schools in the district were inundated by floodwaters. The Nayagarh district administration had also ordered for closure of 32 schools in three blocks for two days due to the flood situation.
