Puri: In view of the severe flood situation, all government and private schools in Odisha’s Puri districts will remain closed for two more days, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Dash informed on Thursday.
“Schools in the district will remain shut till August 20,” he said.
It is pertinent to mention here that the schools in Puri were shut for two days till August 18.
Earlier, all schools in Jagatsinghpur were shut for two days on August 16 and 17 after several schools in the district were inundated by floodwaters. The Nayagarh district administration had also ordered for closure of 32 schools in three blocks for two days due to the flood situation.
