Bhubaneswar: Special Judge (Vigilance), Bhubaneswar, on Friday sentenced a former junior town planner, working in the office of BDA, to 3 years of rigorous imprisonment.
Kushal Chandra Chatterjee, an outsourced employee, was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance under Sections 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d)/7 PC Act, 1988, for demanding and taking bribe from a complainant for approving the plan for construction of a residential building.
The court also slapped a fine on him, a Vigilance release said.
