Bhubaneswar: Former MLA of Balasore Sadar Arun Dey passed away on Monday evening while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. He was 76.
Dey was admitted to Balasore district headquarters hospital for difficulty in breathing and later tested positive for COVID-19. He was shifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on July 9 where he was undergoing till he breathed his last.
The veteran leader had last contested assembly election from Balasore in 2014 on Congress ticket and lost to BJD’s Jiban Pradip Das.
