Bhubaneswar: Odisha will get an amount of Rs 71, 783 crore through e-auction of mines, informed Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan while interacting with editors and senior journalists here on Thursday.
Highlighting the slew of measures taken by the Centre for development of Odisha, the Union Minister said, “As many as 13 coal blocks and five other mines have been allocated through e-auction process and Odisha will get Rs 71, 783 crore through the lease period of these mines.”
Giving a power point presentation regarding the achievements of the Central Government, Pradhan stated that after the establishment of District Mineral Foundation, the state has so far collected an amount of Rs 4, 300 crore for DMF fund.
The National Steel Police was introduced last year to create a competitive steel industry and enhance the steel custom duty and ten districts of the state have been identified under Aspirational Districts under the ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ Yojana, Pradhan added.
Highlighting that railway development is being priority of the Centre, he said that the total allocation in this regard during 2009-10 to 2013-14 was Rs 4, 190 crore. Similarly, the allocation during 2014-15 to 2018-19 is Rs 20, 213 crore.
