Bhubaneswar: A state-of-the-art film studio was inaugurated at Tankapani Road in the state capital on Vasant Panchami when Odisha and other eastern states celebrate Saraswati Puja. Actors Subhasis Sharma and Aanisha dedicated the studio to people on Wednesday.
Prominent Ollywood film and television actors, directors, producers were present on the occasion.
The brainchild of Sangram Kesari Paikaray and designed by Art Director Subas Sahu, the studio has set-ups of a police station, clinic, operation theatre, hospital corridor, ICU, courtroom, corporate office, restaurant, bar and old zamindar house on its premises.
Two large permanent shades have also been constructed for shooting of films, serials and reality shows.
With all facilities for shooting now available in one place in the state, the new studio complex will not only reduce the dependence of Odia producers on film sets in Hyderabad and Chennai but also attract producers from other states to Odisha.
