Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s budding tennis talent Aahan made history in Hyderabad on Saturday.
The youngster, who will turn 13 on April 24, became the first girl from Odisha to win a singles title in an AITA National Series U-16 tournament, tweeted Odisha Sports.
Aahan lifted the trophy after beating Savitha Bhubaneswaran of Tamil Nadu 6-1, 6-3 in the final at Sania Mirza Tennis Academy.
Aahan also featured in the girls’ doubles final, finishing runners-up with Hritika Kaple of Maharashtra.
Aahan last month claimed the U-14 singles and doubles crowns in the AITA meet at the same venue.
