Bhubaneswar: The state government has decided to fill the additional 341 posts of sepoys and constables in the Odisha Police. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved the proposals on Thursday.
The recruitment process for 1,680 sepoys and constables is underway and with this decision of the state government, all the 2,021 posts of sepoys and constables will be filled up.
Likewise, the Chief Minister approved a proposal to recruit 46 Assistant Public Prosecutors (APPs), according to a report, published by the Chief Minister office.
There are 209 posts in the APP cadre. The state government recently appointed 148 APPs. A total of 163 APPs are working now. Besides, the CM has approved the 341 appointments by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).
As many as 154 candidates have been selected for the post of Post-Graduate Teachers (PGTs).
A total of 230 Group-B teachers’ posts were sanctioned by the state government, out of which, the OPSC has selected 154. They will be handed over appointment letters soon.
