Odisha Government Effects Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle, Transfers 16 Senior Officers

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday effected a major reshuffle
in IAS cadre by transferring 16 senior officers.

According to a notification, 2000-batch
officer and Managing Director, National Health Mission (NHM) Shalini
Pandit has been allowed to continue as such while Managing Director of
State Medical Corporation Limited Archana Patnaik has been given
additional charge as the Executive Director, Centre for Modernizing
Government Initiative (CMGI).

Additional Secretary to Government, Forest and Environment
Department Pravat Kumar Lenka has been appointed as the new Additional
Secretary. Public Enterprises Department Bhupendra S Poonia, who was
serving as the Collector of Dhenkanal district, has been posted as the
new State Project Director of OPEPA with additional charge of State
Project Director, Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Sangathan (RMSA) and
Director of Adarsh Vidyalaya Sangathan.

Besides, Keonjhar Collector and District Magistrate N Thirumala Naik
and Malkangiri Collector K. Sudarsan Chakravarthy has been posted as
the Collector and District Magistrate of Koraput respectively.

Similarly, Nabarangpur Collector Rasmita Panda has been assigned the
Chief Executive Officer of Rourkela Smart City Limited with additional
charge of Rourkela Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Vice
Chairman, Rourkela Development Authority.

Sudhansu Mohan Samal, who is currently serving as the Collector of
Gajapati district, has been transferred and posted as the Director of
Horticulture Department.

Apart from those, Koraput Collector Anupam Saha has been posted as the
new Collector of Gajapati district whereas Commissioner of Berhampur
Municipal Corporation and Nikhil Pavan Kalyan has been appointed as the
new District Collector of Dhenkanal.

The government has appointed Executive Director, CMGI Manish Agrawal
as the Collector of Malkangiri district.

Moreover, Special Secretary to Government Public Enterprises
Department Akshaya Kumar Parida is now the Special Secretary of Forest
and Environment Department.

While Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) Secretary Ramesh Chandra
Rout has been appointed as the Collector of Balasore district,
Additional Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department Ajit Kumar
Mishra will now be holding the post of Nabarangpur Collector.

In addition to that, Collector of Balasore Pramod Kumar Das has been
given charge of Additional Secretary to Government in Planning and
Convergence Department.
