Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has been a leader in leveraging IT to
make it easy for businesses to set up and operate, and has recently
introduced first-of-its-kind Single Window Investor Facilitation and
Tracking-‘GO SWIFT’ portal for the industries. This portal provides
all required services and support to an investor during the entire
investment life-cycle of a project in a time-bound, hassle-free,
paper-less and transparent manner, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Addressing the 4th edition of the Odisha Round Table Conclave
organised by Business Standard on Saturday here, the Chief Minister
said, “Our state has been growing at a rate higher than the national
average. The state has witnessed more than four-fold increase in real
per capita income during last 17 years. Industrial development is a
core component contributing to this fast growth of the state. Odisha
has also been constantly ranked amongst the top three states in terms
of live manufacturing investments in India. We are ceaselessly working
towards further developing the state into a manufacturing hub of south
Asia.”
“As we target higher growth and rapid industrial development, our
mantra for development has been the 3Ts that is Transparency,
Technology and Team-Work. Focusing on this mantra, my government has
taken several proactive measures towards the creation of a conducive
environment for industrial development in the state. This has created
an industry-led ecosystem of value addition, sustainable employment
generation and revenue augmentation. I strongly feel that all
stakeholders across the industrial value chain should also incorporate
the 3Ts as a guiding principle in their respective institutions”, the
CM said.
The youth of Odisha are the architects of her future. It is necessary
that we not only provide them ample employment opportunities but also
prepare them for effectively utilizing these opportunities. Towards
this, my government has introduced two major initiatives-‘Skilled in
Odisha’ and ‘Start-Up Odisha’. I am sure, the youth and entrepreneurs
will take maximum benefit from these initiatives, Naveen added.
