Bhubaneswar: Governor Ganeshi Lal has appointed a former officer and a retired chief engineer as the members of Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).
According to a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department on Monday, the Governor appointed Gauranga Charan Sahu, retired chief engineer (Buildings), Works Department and Prof Choudhury Suryakant Mishra, former director, Basic Sciences, Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) as the members of OPSC.
Both new members of the OPSC have been appointed for a term of six years from the date they assume office or until attain the age of 62 years whichever is earlier, the notification stated.
The conditions of service of Sahu and Mishra will be regulated in accordance with the provisions of the Odisha Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulations, 1952 as amended from time to time.
