Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Raghubar Das on Thursday felicitated 122 NCC cadets for securing ninth position in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi.
He felicitated the NCC cadets, including 467 girls, at a function held at Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar, Raj Bhavan sources said.
Describing India as a country of youth mass, the Governor said that young people are the future of the country. NCC inculcates the spirit of discipline, dedication and service to the nation among the young students, Das said. “I appreciate the role of NCC in various cultural and social activities,” the Governor stated.
Director General of Odisha NCC directorate J Suresh and other senior officials were present at the special programme organised at Raj Bhavan to felicitate the young cadets.
