Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Raghubar Das has got a Chief Advisor and two Advisors to monitor different matters.
While retired IAS officer Santosh Kumar Satapathy has been appointed as the Chief Advisor to the Governor, noted academician Prof (Dr) Shukla Mahanty and Subrat Kumar Mohanty will be advisors.
The Governor’s secretariat said in an order on Wednesday that the appointment was made in pursuance of communication received from Parliamentary Affairs department.
Earlier, the Governor’s secretariat had urged the state government to appoint one chief advisor and two advisors to monitor various matters.
While Satpathy will monitor tribal and general matters, Prof Shukla Mahanty will look after academic matters and Mohanty is to handle media and IT related matters, sources said.
While the remuneration of the chief advisor has been fixed at Rs 75,000 per month, the advisors would get Rs 50,000 per month each.
After assuming office, Das has been touring several districts of the state and meeting common people including farmers, members of SHGs, sarpanchs, anganwadi, ASHA and health workers to hear their grievances.
