Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati presented the medals, announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs, to police personnel of the state on the occasion of Republic Day in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
The Ministry had selected 29 police personnel from the for police medals under various categories for their services for 2025.
The Governor presented the medal for gallantry (police personnel) to six personnel, President’s medal for distinguished service to two, one for fire service and two for home guard and civil defence.
Besides, medals for meritorious service (Police) were presented to 11 personnel, four Fire service, one home guard and civil defence and two correctional service.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, chief secretary Manoj Ahuja, DGP YB Khurania, additional chief secretary, Home department Satyabrata Sahu were also present at the ceremony.
