Bhubaneswar: Governor Raghubar Das is scheduled to undergo a surgery for external haemorrhoids, also called piles, at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) and Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
According to an official notification, a medical board under the chairmanship of both the Director of PGIMER, Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar and Director, Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar, has been constituted to look into the surgical treatment of the Governor. “He will undergo the operation under the supervision of Dr Srikanta Patro, Associate Professor, Department of Surgery, PGIMER, Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar, for external haemorrhoids on September 1 ( Sunday),” it said.
The board members to supervise the treatment procedure include:

8. Head of Department, Medicine, PGIMER & Capital Hospital, Dr Namita Mohapatra

The notification further said that employees working in these departments won’t be able to avail leave during the treatment of the Governor or till discharged from hospital.
