Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal unveiled the Odia edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s book ‘Exam Warriors’ at Jaydev Bhawan here on Monday.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor said, “A student can become a superman with strong determination and will power. Through 25 super mantras, advice to parents and teachers, and a set of useful yoga asans, the Prime Minister has done what perhaps no other head of a country has – prepare students to face examinations without the accompanying stress.”
Dedicated to ‘The youth of New India’, the book is integrated with the Narendra Modi Mobile App. The idea, according to the PM, is to create an Exam Warrior Community.
“It was PM’s dream to make the book available in Odia. It should reach every student of Odisha. The intellectual power of every Odia student is the main resource of this state,” Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said.
This book would be very helpful for all students, appearing for various examinations and interviews, he added.
The first 25 chapters are mantras, starting with ‘Exams are like festivals — celebrate them’, a message he shared in the January 2017 Mann Ki Baat, through ‘Be your own anchor — celebrate your strengths’ to ‘To cheat is to be cheap’. Interestingly, each chapter comes with an activity at the end.
Through this book the PM has asked parents to ‘always accept rather than expec’. He has also advised teachers to ’empower the students to pursue their interests as well as create their own opportunities. Motivate them so that they do something driven by their passion instead of seeking to become something’.
But, the book is about more than just preparing for exams. It emphasizes the importance of play, sleep, even travel.
Writer Dr. Pratibha Ray and Sculptor and Rajya Sabha member Dr. Raghunath Mahapatra and many other eminent personalities graced the function.
