Odisha Govt Announces 3% Hike In DA Of Its Employees & Pensioners

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced a hike in dearness allowance (DA) of its employees and pensioners.

According to a press release from CMO on Monday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced the increase in the dearness allowance of the salary of state government employees and pensioners by three per cent. The DA of the government employees, which was increased by 50% in January, has gone up to 53% now.

The hike in DA will be applicable with retrospective effect from July, 2024. The beneficiaries will get the increased DA in their salaries for the month of October, the release stated

Around 7.5 lakh government employees and pensioners in the state will benefit from the increase in DA, official sources said.
