Odisha Govt Announces Exam Schedule For University, Degree Colleges

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday announced the revised examination schedule for all state-run universities and degree colleges.

Briefing mediapersons after a video conference with the vice-chancellors of 11 universities at the Lok Seva Bhawan here, Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahu said Post-Graduate classes will commence from November for the academic session 2020-21 .

“It has been decided that the annual examination of the Plus III final year degree will be held on July 24 while the final Post-Graduate semester examination will be held on August 20. Apart from this, the common admission test for admission to Post-Graduate streams will be held between September and October for which the offices of the universities and autonomous colleges will resume from Thursday with 30 per cent staff,” the minister said.

He further said that a special committee will be formed to prepare a blueprint for the online education programme.

Stating that these decisions have been taken in accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines of the state government, he said the Higher Education Department will have a meeting with the vice-chancellors every fortnight.
