Odisha Govt Announces Promotion & Posting Of IAS Officers; Details Here

Bhubaneswar: The state government on Wednesday announced promotion of IAS officers of different cadres and their appointment to new posts. While some of them have been retained in present positions, some have been given additional responsibilities.

According to a General Administration & Public Grievance department release, Sanjeev Chopra, principal secretary, Home has been appointed as additional chief secretary, Home.

The promotion and posting of other IAS officers have been made as per the following:

Promotion to the Junior Administrative Grade (Non-Functional) in IAS:

  • Anupam Saha, Collector & District Magistrate, Gajapati to continue as such
  • Nikhil Pavan Kalyan, Collector & District Magistrate, Sundargarh with Administrator, RMC, VC, RDA and MD, Rourkela Smart City Ltd to continue
  • Manish Agarwal, Deputy Secretary, P&C Department appointed as Joint Secretary, P&C Department
  • Vineet Bhardwaj, Collector & District Magistrate, Mayurbhanj allowed to continue as such
  • Dr. Poma Tudu, IAS (RR-2012), Collector & District Magistrate, Nayagarh is allowed to continue as such
  • Smruti Ranjan Pradhan, Director, Fisheries, to continue as such
  • Siddhartha Das, Deputy Secretary, Finance Department with addl. charge of Addl.
    Director, Directorate of Treasuries and Inspection, Odisha appointed as Joint Secretary, Finance Department. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Additional Director, Directorate of Treasuries and Inspection, Odisha.

Principal Secretary

  • Saswata Mishra, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Higher Education Department with addl. charge of Chairman, Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission, appointed as Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Chairman, Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission, Bhubaneswar in addition to his own duties.
  • Vir Vikram Yadav, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare, with addl. charge of Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Co-operation Department, Commissioner, Trade Promotion and Investment, 0/0 CRC, New Delhi, Member Secretary, Odisha State Commission for Backward Classes and Chairman, OSWC appointed as Principal Secretary to Government, Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Deptt. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary to Government, Co-operation Department, Commissioner, Trade Promotion and Investment, Member Secretary, Odisha State Commission for Backward Classes and Chairman, OSWC in addition to his own duties.
  • Vishal Kumar Dev, Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Sports & Youth Services Department with additional charge of Commissioner-cum-
    Secretary, Tourism Deptt. appointed as Principal Secretary to Government, Sports & Youth Services Department. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary to Government, Tourism Deptt.Super Time Scale
  • R. Vineel Krishna, Managing Director, Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd, Bhubaneswar with addl. Ch. of Director, Sports, Odisha, Bhubaneswar, M.D., OMECL and OSD in the office of the Chief Minister(COVlD Management) is allowed to continue as such. The post of Managing Director, Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd. is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Special Secretary to Government provided in the IAS cadre of the State.
  • Ratnakar Rout, Director, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Odisha, Cuttack with additional charge of MD, OPDC ltd. appointed as Commissioner-cum-Director, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Odisha, Cuttack. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of MD, OPDC ltd.in addition to his own duties.
  • Dasarathi Satpathy, Secretary, Odisha Legislative Assembly, Bhubaneswar allowed to continue as such. The post of Secretary, Odisha Legislative Assembly declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Special Secretary to Government provided in the IAS cadre of the State.
  • Prafulla Chandra Pradhan, Additional Secretary to Government, Home Deptt. appointed as Special Secretary to Government, Home Department.
  • Anjan Kumar Manik, Excise Commissioner, Odisha, Cuttack with additional charge of IG, Registration, Odisha, Cuttack allowed to continue as such.
  • Benudhar Behera, Additional Secretary to Govt. Rural Development Department appointed as Special Secretary to Government, Rural Development Department.
  • Dr. Suresh Chandra Dalai, Additional Secretary to Govt., Housing and Urban Development Department -cum-Mission Director, OUHM with
    additional charge of Director, Housing is appointed as Special Secretary to Govt., Housing and Urban Development Department -cum-Mission Director, OUHM.
    He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Director, Housing in addition to his own duties.
  • Debendra Kumar Jena, Additional Secretary to Govt. P&C Department appointed as Special Secretary to Govt. P&C Department.
