Bhubaneswar: The state Energy Department on Friday appointed 30 assistant executive engineers (electrical).
The engineers were recruited in Group-A of Odisha Engineering Service cadre. They received their appointment letters at the Convention Centre, Lokaseva Bhawan.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik attended the orientation ceremony of the newly recruited engineers. The CM urged the engineers to adopt the ‘5T’ mantra of governance and serve people by following ‘Mo Sarkar’ norms.
Energy Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra, joining from Kalahandi, said that the department has given top priority to ‘5T’ principles bringing in rapid changes in the energy sector.
Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra also graced the occasion. The programme was coordinated by VK Pandian, Secretary to CM (5T). Principal Secretary (Energy) Nikunja Bihari Dhal delivered the welcome address.
With the new appointments, the total strength of assistant executive engineers (electrical) has gone up to 116.
