Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday appointed Arindam Dakua and Anupam Saha as collectors of Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur respectively.
Arindam, 2011-batch IAS officer, was serving as Director- cum-Additional Secretary, Drinking Water & Sanitation with additional charge of State Mission Director, Odisha Livelihoods Mission. He will succeed Vineet Bharadwaj.
Saha, a 2012-batch IAS officer, will replace Parul Patwari. He was serving as State Project Director, OSEPA with additional charge of Member Secretary, Mo School and Labour Commissioner, Odisha.
On April 2, the Election Commission of India has ordered for transfer Bharadwaj and Patwari, along with six other IPS officers, to non-election related posts with immediate effect.

Earlier in the day, the government had appointed Sanjay Kumar Kaushal as IG (Central), Prakash R as Cuttack DCP, Brijesh Kumar Rai as Rourkela SP and Umashankar Dash as Angul SP.
Their predecessors have been asked to report to state police headquarters.
