Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has appointed Prof Santosh Kumar Mishra as Director of Medical Education and Training.
An official notification, issued by Health and Family Welfare department on Monday, said Prof Mishra has been appointed as director of Medical Education and Training (DMET) by virtue of an order of Odisha Governor. He will replace in-charge DMET Saroj Mishra.
The posting of special secretary, H&FW department Saroj Mishra as in-charge of DMET-Odisha will be terminated from the date Prof Mishra assumes charge as the director, the notification said.
Before the present posting, Prof Mishra was the dean and principal of MKCG Medical College and Hospital at Berhampur. Prof Suchitra Das has been appointed as in-charge dean and principal of MKCG MCH until further order.
