Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has appointed IAS officer R Santhanagopalan as secretary, Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities department.
An official order, issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department on Tuesday, said Santhanagopalan will remain in additional charge of secretary, SSEPD department.
The additional appointment of Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra as Principal Secretary of SSEPD department will stand terminated from the date Santhanagopalan takes over, the order said.
Santhanagopalan, a 2001 batch IAS officer, is currently serving as the Chief Electoral Officer, Odisha and Ex-officio Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Home (Elections) Department.
