Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday appointed retired IAS officer Bibhuti Bhusan Patnaik and former VC of GM University Prof Sudhansu Sekhar Rath as members of Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).
They will remain in the post till the age of 62, the government notification said.
Patnaik had retired as Ex-Registrar Co-Operative Societies on July 31, 2020. He had also served as Director, Tourism, and Jharsuguda collector.
As Jharsuguda Collector, he had innovated and initiated several social and developmental projects for the welfare of poor and marginalized section of the society and reached out to people at their doorsteps.
Rath has experience in teaching and applied research in economics, finance, management and allied subjects. He had also served as Officer on Special Duty of SM University, Sambalpur, and Registrar of Sambalpur University. He has published a number of articles in national and international journals of repute. He has also extended consultancy services to World Bank, UNDP, NIPFP, IIPA sponsored projects.
