Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday appointed 10 senior IAS officers as Secretary-In-Charge of 10 aspirational districts in the state.
The in-charge officers of these districts are
Dhenkanal: PK Mohapatra
Rayagada: Anu Garg
Koraput: Dr. Sourabh Garg
Kalahandi: D.R.K Singh
Kandhamal: Sanjeeb Chopra
Nabarangpur: Hemanta Sharma
Nuapada: Saswat Mishra
Gajapati: S K SIngh
Balangir: Pramod Kumar Meherda
Malkangiri: V V Yadav
The officers have been assigned the task to closely follow up on the 49 indicators across 5 Sectors, – Health & Nutrition, Education, Agriculture & Water Resources, Financial Inclusion & Skill up-gradation and Basic infrastructures like irrigation, rural electrification, potable drinking water and access to toilets in these districts.
Last year, two districts of Odisha – Nuapada and Koraput – figured in the list of five that championed development narrative in fundamental parameters of social progress as per the Second Delta Ranking of the Aspirational Districts Programme released by NITI Aayog.
