Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday appointed senior IAS officers as secretary in-charge of 16 aspirational districts.
A notification of Planning and Convergence department on Wednesday said secretary-level officers have been appointed as secretary in-charge of 16 districts identified under the Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP)Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP) of NITI Aayog.
The secretaries in-charge have been assigned to review the progress of the districts under the programme, the notification further said.
The list of these officers included 11 principal secretaries including Hemant Sharma, Sushil Kumar Lohani, Bishnupada Sethi, Chithra Arumugam, Saswat Mishra, Usha Padhee, Vir Vikram Yadav, Vishal Kumar Dev, Sajay Kumar Singh, Subha Sarma and Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma.
Besides, three secretaries including Shalini Pandit, Aswathy S and Arvind Agrawal and BDA vice-chairman N Thirumala Naik and additional secretary Sudhansu Mohan Samal have also been appointed as secretaries in-charge of the aspirational districts.
