Bhubaneswar: The state government on Monday appointed senior Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers as registrars for five universities.
According to a notification by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, Administrative Officer of Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Lopamudra Mohanty will take charge as the registrar of the Odisha University of Agriculture Technology (OUAT) while joint secretary, Higher Education, Shyamali Mohapatra has been posted as the registrar of the Rama Devi Women’s University.
Besides, Additional District Magistrate of Nuapada Sitaram Patel and BDO of Dunguripalli (Sonepur district) Sahadev Samdhia have been posted as the registrar of Sambalpur University and North Odisha University respectively while Joint Secretary of Board of Revenue Brahmananda Behera will take charge as the registrar of Fakir Mohan University, the notification added.
