Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday approved renewal of health insurance scheme for working journalists.
Information and Public Relations Minister Raghunandan Das approved the renewal of the Health Insurance Scheme called ‘Gopabandhu Sambadika Swasthya Bima Yojana’.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had launched this scheme for working journalists in 2018.
It may be mentioned that so far, 3233 working journalists have been registered for health insurance under the yojana.
Working journalists get health coverage of up to Rs 2 lakh a year under the scheme.
