Bhubaneswar: Concerned over the sudden rise in COVID-19 patients in Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore districts, the Odisha government has asked three senior officers to visit the three districts for on the spot assessment of the containment measures and assist the respective district administrations.
The OSD to chief secretary Vishal Dev informed this on Wednesday.
In this regard, Principal Secretary, Excise, SK Lohani, will visit Bhadrak, Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Governor, PK Meherda will visit Jajpur and Special Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers Empowerment, SK Vashishth will visit Balasore.
Before their visits, the three officials will be briefed by the Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare and other COVID observers engaged in Bhubaneswar, who have gained some experience in containment zone planning, contact tracing, testing modalities etc.
Besides, BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary and Director, Social Welfare, Arvind Agrawal may also join the briefings.
