Bhubaneswar: With the Odisha government rescheduling the holiday for Muharram from Friday to Saturday, the Higher Education department has changed the timeline for admission into under-graduate and BEd courses.
The department, in an official letter to PG Council Chairman, Principals of all government/non-government degree colleges and Principals of government teacher education institutions on Thursday, stated that the universities and colleges coming under the department will remain closed on July 29 (Saturday) instead of July 28 (Friday) on account of ‘Muharram’. All higher education institutions will remain open on Friday.
Accordingly, the timeline for UG & BEd courses has been postponed as below:
