Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has created 11,292 posts of Nursing Officers to augment technical manpower and provide better healthcare services in the state.
It has been decided to fill up the newly-created posts in a phased manner.
The government issued a direction on December 8 to the Director, Nursing for filing of requisition with OSSSC (Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission) for recruitment of 7,413 Nursing Officers against the newly-created posts.
Thousands of aspiring candidates with degree/diploma in the course will benefit from these steps.
With the addition of this huge technical manpower, service in healthcare institutions like District Headquarters Hospitals and Medical Colleges and hospitals in the state will improve to a great extent.
