Odisha Govt Creates New Opt-In Facility In Subhadra Portal For Women Who Opted Out By Mistake

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has introduced a new facility for Subhadra Yojana beneficiaries who opted out of the scheme by mistake to enable them to add their name.

Sharing informing about the new feature, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said the Subhadra Yojana portal provides the new facility for the opted-out beneficiaries to opt in. Those who had opted out while updating or due to some reason by mistake can opt-in after logging in to the portal, she said.

Parida, who holds Women and Child Development portfolio, said around 31,000 applications were received for those who opted out by mistake and steps have been taken for again adding them though the new feature.

The new feature comes ahead of the fourth phase release of the instalment amount under Subhadra Yojana.

The Deputy CM said that an inquiry will take place until January 15 and the number of applicants after that period will be taken into account to decide a date for disbursal of the funds.

Meanwhile, the state cabinet has approved March 31, 2025 as the deadline for registration to avail benefits under the Subhadra Yojana for the financial year 2024-25.

Earlier on December 30, the Deputy CM had announced that in 2025, women across Odisha will benefit from the Subhadra Yojana funds on three separate occasions throughout the year.

In the new year, it is expected that the beneficiaries may receive this year’s first disbursement in January, the other two Subhadra Yojana instalments may follow on International Women’s Day on March 8 and later on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan in August.
