Bhubaneswar: With the COVID-19 positive cases continuing to rise in the state, the government has appointed post-graduate doctors of different medical colleges in the hospitals in the districts.
According to a Health and Family Welfare department order, 225 In-Service PG doctors and 252 PG doctors from different medical colleges and hospitals in the state have been requisitioned and placed with the various districts CDMOs for COVID-19 duty.
The requisition has been made to further strengthen the manpower in the hospitals to fight against the pandemic for 3 months or further order, the department stated.
On Thursday, the government deployed 241 post PG doctors in Balasore, Angul and Bargarh in the fight against COVID-19.
