Bhubaneswar: The state government on Wednesday dissolved the governing bodies or the managing committees of all non-government aided Higher Secondary schools.
According to a letter of the School and Mass Education department, the additional district magistrate shall act as president of the governing body of the school situated at the district headquarters.
Similarly, in case of Higher Secondary schools situated outside the district headquarters, the sub-collector of the sub-division concerned shall act as president of the governing bodies.
In case of the district having more than one additional district magistrate, the district magistrate and collector shall nominate an additional district magistrate to act as president of the governing body, the letter stated.
