Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government’s sanction orders for 1,347 projects in Sambalpur district were distributed on Wednesday.
During his visit to the district earlier, chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha VK Pandian had received many grievances regarding renovation of religious institutions and community structures. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved the projects based on the petitions and feedback from the local people.
A sanction order distribution programme was organised at 4 locations in the district – Remed Field in Sambalpur, Kuchinda College Field, Jujomura Hockey Field in Rairakhol and Bishalkhinda Field in Rengali – in which thousands of people participated. Total 1,347 projects with a cost of Rs 58 crore have been sanctioned under Chief Minister’s Special Assistance (CMSA) Scheme.
The sanction orders were distributed to the people by Ministers Niranjan Pujari in Sambalpur, Rita Sahu in Kuchinda, Prafulla Mallick in Jujumora and Tukuni Sahu in Rengali.
Pandian, who participated in the programme through video-conference, said, “The Chief Minister considers the people of Odisha as his family. He respects the religious sentiments of the people. Therefore, such large number of projects have been sanctioned for Sambalpur district.”
