Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday effected a major reshuffle in the IAS cadre, transferring several senior officers and giving them new postings.
As per a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, the changes will take effect from October 13, 2025.
Girish S N, who is now Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the government, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department, will take over as Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Department of Mission Shakti, after Shalini Pandit, leaves the state on central deputation.
N Thirumala Naik, Vice-Chairman, Bhubaneswar Development Authority, will join the School & Mass Education Department as Commissioner-cum-Secretary after Shalini Pandit’s departure for central posting.
Mansi Nimbhal, Director, Tourism, will take charge as Managing Director, Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation, while Surendra Kumar Meena will join ST&SC Development, Minorities & Backwards Classes Welfare Department as Additional Secretary.
Other key appointments include Subhashree Nanda as Additional Secretary to the Government, Planning & Convergence Department, and Chanchal Rana, Commissioner, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, who will hold additional charge of Vice-Chairman, Bhubaneswar Development Authority, and Managing Director, Bhubaneswar Smart City Ltd.
Premjit Nayak, now Additional Secretary to the Government in the ST&SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department, has been appointed as Director, Scheduled Tribes.
Deepankar Mohapatra, currently Chief Executive Officer of the Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha, has been appointed as Director, Tourism, and will also retain additional charge as Managing Director of the Odisha Tourism Development Corporation.
Pranati Chhotray, currently Managing Director of Boyanika and Director of Handicrafts, has been appointed as Additional Secretary to Government in the Home Department.
Nivedita Prusty, currently Additional Secretary to Government in the Home Department, has been appointed as Managing Director of Boyanika and will retain additional charge as Director of Handicrafts.
Madhusmita Samal, currently Additional Secretary to Government in the Planning & Convergence Department, has been appointed as Additional Secretary to Government in the Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department and will retain additional charge as Director of the State Institute of Rural Development.
Sanjay Kumar Biswal, currently Manager (Administration) at Capital Region Urban Transport, has been appointed as Additional Secretary to Government in the Commerce & Transport Department.
Kanhu Charan Dhir, who is now Private Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister for Women & Child Development, Mission Shakti, and Tourism, has been transferred and posted as Director, Minor Minerals.
