Bhubaneswar: All government employees in Odisha will get their final payments of the General Provident Fund (GPF) in the month of their retirements.
As per the guidelines issued by the Finance Department, the final GPF and the Teachers Provident Fund (TPF) will be directly credited to the bank account of the government employees from the State Pension Treasury. Along with the GPF and TPF, the employees will avail of pension and other post-retirement benefits.
For the payment of GPF and TPF, the State Pension Treasury will work as the nodal treasury and provide details of the final GPF and TPF of the employees with a copy of the details to the drawing and disbursement officer (DDO) of the concerned departments.
Under this new provision, the physical presence of the employees is not required as the final GPF and TPF will be credited to their bank accounts, the Finance Department said.
