Bhubaneswar: Kar Clinic in Odisha capital, where the 60-year-old man with coronavirus infection was admitted for a day on March 24, has been sanitised.
The nursing home has been advised to provide emergency continuum care such as dialysis, the Health and Family Welfare Department said in a tweet on Sunday.
“However, the care providers who had come in contact with the 3rd COVID-19 positive case need to be on isolation and SoP issued by DHS be followed,” it added.
In the wake of detection of the third coronavirus case in Odisha, the state government on March 26 had exhorted people not to visit Kar Clinic in Unit IV here in view of the contact history of the latest patient.
“Based on the contact history of the third positive case, Health Department urges people not to visit Kar Clinic Bhubaneswar for outpatient and inpatient care,” it had tweeted.
In another tweet, the H&FW department pointed out, “In spite of repeated advisory, some private health care facilities are not complying with the COVID 19 Regulations. Government urges them to act responsibly and follow the Regulations while treating patients with flu like symptoms. Non compliance shall be viewed seriously.” (Sic)
